Recently, the Safety Supervision Bureau of Yingkou City held a launch ceremony for the special treatment of dust hazards in refractory material manufacturing enterprises in Dashiqiao City, promoting the "Special Treatment Plan for Dust Hazards in Refractory Material Manufacturing Enterprises in Yingkou City", clarifying the main goals, division of responsibilities, and time arrangement of the special treatment work. The government and enterprises worked together to control the dust hazards of refractory materials.

After preliminary investigation, there are a total of 180 refractory material manufacturing enterprises in Yingkou City, 80% of which are located in Dashiqiao City, involving 8197 workers, of which 5670 workers are exposed to dust, accounting for 69.2%. Among enterprises that have conducted dust concentration testing in the past, more than 30% of them have positions with dust exceeding standards, indicating serious dust hazards.

It is reported that in order to ensure the effectiveness of the special dust hazard control action for refractory material manufacturing enterprises, the Yingkou City Safety Supervision Bureau has decided to hold a launch ceremony for the special dust hazard control of refractory material manufacturing enterprises in Dashiqiao City, in order to mobilize all sectors of society to participate in the control work, and strive to achieve dust concentration standards in key positions in enterprises through special control, improve the working environment, and minimize the impact of dust on the health of workers.

At the launch ceremony, representatives of refractory material manufacturing enterprises in Yingkou City read out a commitment letter for the special control of dust hazards, which made commitments to the main responsibilities that the enterprise should fulfill, appoint a dedicated person to be responsible, invest special funds, meet the standards for treatment, the time limit for rectification completion, and the determination to voluntarily accept punishment or stop production if the treatment standards are not met. The commitment was signed by the main person in charge of the enterprise.

Lin Yurong, Deputy Director of Yingkou City Safety Supervision Bureau, stated that efforts from all sectors of society should be mobilized to carry out the special dust hazard control action for refractory material manufacturing enterprises. Enterprises should fulfill their main responsibilities, complete the control tasks on time and in accordance with steps. The safety supervision department should shoulder the responsibility of government supervision and make contributions to protecting the health rights and interests of workers.
